The 59th issue features new technologies for the textile and printing market. The exhibitions are continuing to fill up in a hectic schedule. ITMA 2023 will be held in Milan in June. It was announced that the exhibition space is full months in advance. Over 1,600 exhibitors will be participating from 44 countries. 100 companies are still waiting for space in their preferred areas. Texworld Paris attracted a significant international attendance. As always, the prominent topics on sustainability in Türkiye and the world are waiting for you on our Green Times pages: Türkiye is introducing new regulations to reduce the environmental impact of textile activities with the new circular issued by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change. RegioGreenTex is a European initiative that will assist SMEs in converting textile waste into valuable products. It is a three-year project. Smartex, the Turkish startup Tuvis has been acquired by Smartex. The new technology centre will be located in Maslak and will help expand its zero waste future efforts. ‘Sea lettuce’, which causes odour and pollution in the Gulf of Izmir, will offer a biodegradable option to plastic packaging.
